This is something that has been discussed many, many times. What is the best bug out or survival rifle. I will talk about the many pros to the .22lr as well as the cons. The Ruger 10/22 is one of my favorite .22s. Its light weight, quiet, accurate and just fun to shoot. In SHTF availability of ammo is going to be a big concern. People may focus more on the bigger rifle rounds for defense and hunting. But no matter how you look at it you will always be able to carry more .22lr.
