You might have seen videos on how to zinc plate nuts and bolts and other parts, but do you know what level of protection you can get from zinc plating? In this video I show you a dummy part that I plated and yellow chromated in the beginning of January. Sometime in February I sat the part outside to test how well the zinc plating would hold up in bad weather. As you can see, the part rusted badly, but the plating held up very well, actually beyond what I expected.
