Can you survive in Calgary Winters? Personal Experience. Calgary winters are notoriously long and infamously cold, winters in Calgary last for 5-6 months. Temperature drops down to -39 and there’s thick layer of snow everywhere. Even then I feel Calgary winters are enjoyable and better than Toronto.
